No bank can survive a run when hit by such rumours. When one bank is affected it hits several others which ultimately affects the whole economy.
Whereas Family has had issues bordering on flouting regulatory issues it surely does not have liquidity issues. Talk 2 sm1 who has applied or tried 2 apply for a loan in the course of this year... Talk to people who have tried to borrow in other banks too. The loans/credit issues in banks have been quite complicated this year and I guess for some years to come.Mr Opus Dei is not joking with anyone and reckless loaning is now moving towards history .Unscured facilities, facilities using old cars as security,Funding for land subdivision etc..gone. I am aware that most, if not all, Fin Iinstitutions have changed their credit policy which has affected significant n.o of borrowers. Is it the generic change in credit policy affecting FB or its liquidity issues..if u know staff there, talk 2 them..

How did you know that she is sad or is it an opportunity to remove her from the 'misery'? Unless she, or the other Ladies, come forward and negate that sentiment, then I believe she is. It would be a privilege and an honor to disengage her (them) from this dastardly state of her (their) mind.

As much as the woman responsible for starting the malicious rumours on Family Bank has been arrested, this bank should be suspended from trading just like the other banks in previous years that were involved in money laundering. There's clear evidence that Family Bank was key to the success of the NYS scandal. BBI will solve it :)

Haiya! When did you open an account at NIC.I knew you as a Chase damu guy. Meanwhile I support punishing Family for the money laundering but remember 20 banks handled this cash. My point is lets not say they have liquidity issues yet the problem is flauting of CBK guidelines on money laundering. Better still deal with the individuals that are involved so that an innocent saver like me and @Pesanane do not suffer. Speaking from first hand experience here. My mum has her security firm's account in family bank. She recently went there to withdraw a mere 20k to sort salary advances only to leave the bank with 2k. The way they are reacting will only Stoke more panic. Right now my mum is in the process of opening a new organization account at KCB so that December payments are all channelled through this new account.
