Corruption is a big word....
Quote:
dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery.
"the journalist who wants to expose corruption in high places"
synonyms: dishonesty, unscrupulousness, double-dealing, fraud, fraudulence, misconduct, crime, criminality, wrongdoing; bribery, venality, extortion, profiteering, payola; informal graft, grift, crookedness, sleaze
"political corruption"

@Njung'e sounds like we need you to develop a curriculum . Except the final class ought to be how to keep families from fighting over the loot when the thief dies..

But seriously, I have seen arguments that corruption and economic growth can co-exist. The growth of the Asian Tigers happened despite high levels of corruption. Maybe we need to figure out the factors that enable both to exist then implement the most appropriate ones since the stealing is going nowhere.

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly ....Can't believe what's being discussed here but again, i am at a point where, like many more Kenyans, i accept. Can we begin with the basics?. I mean,"Introduction to corruption" and then move through systematically ( I think the last topic will be how to spend your loot)Pray

I wouldn't know stuff so i guess we enlist one or two known crooks to helpsmile

On a serious note, a friend once bribed a cop since he'd forgotten his DL. I was so mad and this is what we did. Drove back to his house and collected the DL then headed straight back to the roadblock. I walked to the cop and presented the DL and demanded a refund now that we had the DL. You should have seen the stunned face of the cop. I think he realized i was going to create a scene. He gave back the money but the walk back to the car was the longest as i was not sure the idiot would not shoot me dead. I was literally shitting brickssmile

That's small stuff for any average Joe. Wish you knew how much the government and parastatals pays for pens, rulers, reams of paper, meals or toners. Utazilai.

Orders below Ksh 30,000.00 are baptized as low value not subjected to tendering but in a month you get multiple orders. They just send quotation forms to pre-qualified suppliers.

There was no ingenuity. They couldn't not agree on how to share the loot so the short changed party blew the whistle.
