Am planning to unlock my Safcom modem to use the YU sim, will this solve the slowness??

Using a yu sim card on an unlocked safcom modem will not give you better speed. It is on GPRS platform as opposed to BROADBAND. Orange GPRS offers better speeds at affordable rates than safcom

i'm still waiting those experiencing slow speeds from yu to post their results here. Meanwhile let me share some tips...

1. when your mobile partner or whichever dashboard you are using opens, do not connect to the internet..click on tools>options>network>under network type select gsm preferred>apply>ok

2.click on tools>options>tick RAS(modem)under the general tab just below the connection type>ok

3.now connect to the internet. You will see the internet connection icon on the task bar after you are connected. Double click it, click properties,you will see huawei 3G mobile connect modem. Click configure. Set the maximum speed(bps)to 921600>ok>ok. Now disconnect the internet and connect again
You don't need to keep on repeating the above steps. You only do it once
