KLM wasn't and isn't the problem.
They are part of the problem. I have always maintained that they are giving KQ a raw deal. This is the reason why MJ is heading to AMS to renegotiate the JV.
If KLM meant well enough for KQ, they should have never let Ngunze to sell the slot and allowed Naikuni to register SPVs.
Naikuni was appointed to the board of RVR to manage SPVs for the Egyptian firm with a stake in the later. They procured a world bank loan in the guise of upgrading services/ new locomotives but ended up buying used one and refurbished at a cost equivalent to the market prices of new ones. They are under investigation by World Bank but they are now looking to sell the stake after minting billions.
It is exactly what Naikuni did in KQ. Loans single sourced in the name of fleet modernisation and Project mawingu and then high cost of repayments to factor in credits to few individuals via SPVs.

Perhaps you are right. Or he managed to pull the wool over their eyes. When you appoint a CEO you expect him to work for your benefit. The Agency Problem. Anyway, I lost faith in KQ's board in 2012 with good reason.
Yes. Be informed. They are suppose to work for the benefit of all and doing so will benefit the shareholders but with these masters they are not interested in the 'public good'.

Buddies...
Isn't she rallying these countries to vote for her as the AU chair using taxpayers money? Where is the Gaborone/ more destinations in Botswana they went to negotiate for? Isn't Gaborone being axed?
These PR machines should be voted out. They are borrowing to do globe-trotting at the expense of service delivery.

It will actually Diesel-electric and not pure Diesel-mechanical.

The demand is there and if KQ fix pricing they can even fly to these cities offerring passengers a seamless connection. Onward connection from Mumbai is very hectic as the later is a very busy airport.
