When you look at the recent M&A news ; the talk of ATT Merger with CNN Time Warner gives a predictive picture of the trend that may follow....content generation plus distribution. Media houses as known today will change into content and talent generators with the Safaricoms being the outlets. My bet is that look at the Zuku's and Safaricoms as the future "media companies"...and what about airtel? opportunities galore if you ask me.

Terryanne Chebet Pray Kirigo Ng’arwa as well as radio veteran radio presenter Anunda Sakwa Shisia Wasilwa, Elizabeth Omolo, Agao Patrobas and Nasteha Mohammed.

Now this is totally missing the point

Facebook is not a competitor to RMS or Nation. They are just additional channels of broadcasting content. Look at it this way, am on facebook if am in a mat or somewhere in a park. If an not near TV and I notice citizen airing something, I'll tune in, if its not on facebook, then I'll probably not see it. So competition is non-existent.

These media companies have fools running their online pages. They load clips with no sound, or description, overly edited etc.

Media owners will make sure that their staff do not have a union. Atworry cannot also go after them because he uses the media to stay relevant.

Let's summarise:

Standard Group is in ICU - just a matter of time...

Nation is in denial... Too dependent on the dying media of printed paper...

K24 is a re-election vehicle and I predict it's demise soon after...

Royal Media the only stable media house but needs a strategy/overhauling for the future.

BBI will solve it
