Tap sale is here. 10 billion on offer
In the tap sale does the interest automatically become 13.177% pa
Coupon rate is 12% for every Shs 100 face value. But you will be expected to pay Shs 93.529 for each Shs 100 you apply for. So the yield remains 13.177% for tap sales.
Confirm this: So if I put say Kes. 1,000,000 I will be required to pay Kes.935,290 while still enjoy Kes.120,000 pa being 12% coupon rate? Correct And at redemption I will get back Kes. 935,290 and NOT Kes. 1,00,000? At redemption you get 1M The difference as a discount. Hii mambo ya Bond wengi tuko @Avogadros!
During Mbuzi, before maji enters majority, we need a presentation by @maka and @Liv on this bond business. smile
@AndyC, please the statement below is not gramatically complete...please complete it. Put puntuations as necessary, donot assume anything! Note that we are here dealing with Millions of KES. [color=blue]

This is just 10 billion.... One bank or a major foreign investor can just grab it all at once and the tap sale closes. So make haste if you are interested. The funds are supposed to be transferred to CBK by either Monday 31 Oct or by 7th Nov. so you can apply now and once you get allocation you can plan to send the funds as required. You don't send the funds when you are applying.
