And time span was around 30 days...a tidy profit I made.

Kudos to you.. The KQ gain stands at 74% being 10 month high. For the rise to be meaningful I have realised over time that one must have a significant holding relative to available disposable income. My gross KQ worth as at today is KES 3,511,200


Hope u will time very well the "top" n jump out in good time.

You can never time the top.. Its not an exact science hence need to have both a boarding and offloading target price.. Certainly I cannot buy KQ shares at more than KES 8 per share. Meanwhile 853,000 shares changed hands today, the so-called rally on vapor volume has grown legs @vvs..


U are better off selling now.

@obiero I have come to accept as you said that in stocks history does not repeat itself. You gave an example of KQ at 125 which is not easy to be revisited.Centum at 600s and KCB at 200s. Look at Kengen where the majority thought last year's history will recur this year only to be swept inevitably to the cleaners. If @obiero you are going to make a big killing on KQ rally and thereafter some traders in near future will start thinking this KQ moment shall repeat itself in fact they shall be wrong. I can now agree that rocket rallies happen once after a long time of silence/bleeding for a particular stock.

The huge debt need to be taken over by the govt but remember the later is also struggling with huge debts. KQ as it is cannot be liquidated. There is nothing that will remain to be passed on to the new airline. Moreover, there is no leader currently who is visionary enough to start a new national airline. It is as complex as it has been said by the guy in charge of transport.

835,000 x 5.70 = 5mn [KK PBT/day is higher than that!]

Comparing KK to a Mercedes is appropriate but comparing KQ to Toyota is an insult to Toyota, perhaps @Obiero you meant Mahindra?

The plane has not taken off yet.. Until official results release, we will remain taxiing but with reduced speed..

Was at the bar yesterday and it appears certain that the Qatar plan is likely to receive no backing. The claim is that KES 17 does not represent fair value and KLM are not willing to offload. Government now mulls to issue KES 60B required for capital restructuring, net of the KES 24.7B that it has already placed in the last 2 years.. Michael Joseph in his first media brief said that we cannot negotiate without conclusion.. When details of the said financial agreement are tied up and released it shall be a rocket rally of a lifetime
