The existing shareholders need to be wiped out (& rightly so) just as many of the creditors need to take a haircut on their loans. The question is whether KQ can be revived just as other airlines have BUT what about the BASAs, many of which require a majority ownership by Kenyans of the airline?
Gulamali Ismail, Vijay Shah, DJ, Mike Maina and myself are taking charge.. Last boarding call already issued weeks ago. KQs sale was inevitable and note that we are not selling the assets or anything financial. The goodwill is what's on sale and it is pricey.. Watch the share spike.. it's our time to eat
Less than 10% ownership in total. If KLM and GoK aren't on board then nothing will happen. Good luck.
Rotich already told you what will happen.. Its good to watch news, as a man
Do tell...
GOK will turn up the heat on Air France KLM to offload some significant stake in KQ to the new investor. Esther Koimet has wrapped it all up
at KES 17 per share which shall also be offered to the retail pool ala Access Kenya - Dimension Data
earning me a gross sum of KES 10,472,000 more than enough to clear all my current borrowings.. Hope for the best and pray for me to get this windfall
@Spikes I may look like a mad man but wazua will tell you that my timing is unquestionable on entry level of stocks. I consider myself a master of bottoms.. Exits are also my forte mainly assisted by the exchange bar.. I sent out an optional boarding call only a few weeks ago, previously I flew kamikaze
I speak in code.. Capital restructuring offer by the Middle East carrier, input to be disclosed at Pride Centre upon full year disclosures mid-November COOP, IMH, KEGN, KQ, MTNU

I pleaded with wazuans to board KQ, effective 6th September 2016.. Now I count my daily increases, six weeks of daily gains since my boarding call.. Note that KES 8 remains the fair value
Remember the strike has not been called off they have just pushed it forward so that the Ngunze steps aside if he continues being hard headed they will not work even if its next week...non of the CDL staff will be sent home part of the agreement. possunt quia posse videntur

This useless bugger called Duale.. Meanwhile @spikes promised wazua of a massive drop today but we close at KES 4.55 being close to 4% jump in one day.. The share still trades on low value with fair value starting at KES 8 with ceiling being latest issue price of KES 14.. KES 12 can be used to lighten exposure to the faint of heart
Up 2.2% today to close on a 4month high of KES 4.95.. Tomorrow KES 5 shall be tested.. Patience pays, my money dance has started
We need to ask hard questions:who is exactly buying? Is the rally reliable? Will it end smoothly? or it is another Transcentury trading on high volatility ? Be careful dealing with high beta stocks!
There are only 2 types of people in this world....those silly enough to have KQ shares, and those clever enough not to.
Let's test that hypothesis in 3 months time.
LOL.. There is a third type. One silly enough to raise doubts over a share whose rise at the NSE in the last 101 calendar days has been unbreakable.. Without the strike threat, this thing would have printed KES 8 by next week COOP, IMH, KEGN, KQ, MTNU

Do not be fooled by Michael Joseph calm demeanour.. He is ruthless.. Those guys have been given a second chance at life in KQ.. Another ill-willed strike and they will be amongst those tarmacking COOP, IMH, KEGN, KQ, MTNU

At kes 8 will you offload or you'll wait till kes 17 per share?
I will likely say my goodbye at KES 14 upon release of H1 next year.. Please note that the full year results for this year shall still reveal a substantive net loss COOP, IMH, KEGN, KQ, MTNU

From someone who has worked with him;
"KQ needs a ruthless CEO who has the necessary political support and reputation to boot...a fellow who has delivered before and is focused on growth plus understands the corporate dramas that happen in Kenya...MJ fits the bill but sadly got the wrong seat"

You all need to relax, MJs job now is to help recruit the next CEO. Ngunze will be there for a while until he hands over. "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. The problem is you hope when you should fear & fear when you should hope: - Jesse Livermore

i wonder what has retired rusty old telco has to do with aeronautics. kenyanaism is infectious and i too feel mj has either been cultured or its so cold out there to reincanate in the world of rubanis. tired telcos brain cells are of no use in this many digits world, naikuni would be a better match in my best belatedly heartbreaking opin.
i too choose to hold my dice. but will kq offer free lifts past midnight, hope mj will not be ready to regret this time round. kenyans have a peculiar habit, do not be caught pants down when the music stops ,Behold, a sower went forth to sow;....

I compare MJ to Koffi Annan. When Koffi Annan was appointed peace mediator to Syria in the wake of the uprising he withdrew after about a year citing diplomacy at crosshairs with president Assad's brutal regime. Will MJ face a corrupt climate that will force him to resign citing untouchables in management system ? How will he deal with saboteurs? John 5:17 But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.”

I believe MJ having proved his mettle elsewhere is also cut out for the aviation industry. We don't have to go looking for a person with a background in Aviation. All that is needed in KQ is a proven, efficient leader to give direction to the Company.
