Is a well documented phenomenon. All sorts, shapes, all sizes become unhinged after winning the jackpot, often unhappier as a result. http://www.nydailynews.c...nners-article-1.2492941
Does it apply to desperate Kenyans, like this wonder winner of 19m mCheza jackpot (pictured together; their current home)?

Soon the guy will be out there looking for other fish after you have struggled together for years ....... In the business world, everyone is paid in two coins - cash and experience. Take the experience first; the cash will come later - H Geneen

True. Temptations abound. Irrespective of gender... The deeper problem is the win was just a gift, not as a result of the struggle, hence is not accompanied by the virtue.

Yet guys are on Trump's case for his comments not even action, just talk, talk, talk. In the business world, everyone is paid in two coins - cash and experience. Take the experience first; the cash will come later - H Geneen

Those things are not genuine. what happens is that they approach someone and strike an agreement e.g the lottery organizer, "we are going to declare you won 500,000 but we are going to give you 200,000". of course you are not a dummy this 200,000 is free money and you never worked for it or even placed a bet in the lottery; and you say "yes!". All smiles you appear on TV to announce how happy you are you won and you leave 200,000/=richer and the rest of gullible Kenyans happily click their money away through mpesa. This is what i have seen happen to people i know.

This is a business, there are not there to give you free money. The last time lotteries were real were during the times of kenya charity sweepstakes and safaricom this i can vouch for as i know individuals who won. the rest are businesses out to make money from "fools". I know of people who were given a cut of the monies announced they won. Lotteries in Kenya are fixed, even in the US. The only ones i know are real are in the UK.

Except for the other part i mentioned above in Kenya, in the US betting industry is big business. A lot of research is carried out on the consumers i.e living standards, demographics etc in the marketing department to determine who to give and how much to give in order to achieve the maximum possible impact on the consumers consciousness; that this is the real thing and they should buy into the product. They don’t give out money hivi hivi. Its predetermined, the age, gender, race, position in society and geographic location the winner is going to be, in advance.
