Wouldn't it make a good target though for a bigger provider? Buy it out, dump expensive management, exploit the metro infrastructure, get hold of the rights cash...

Whats the difference between jewish and Israeli. (its like a kikuyu and a kenyan smile ),

Anyway, Its a bull market, Access cannot deep anymore than it did, am suprised it got to 18. At the same time I agree that given the dynamics of the Industry AK will have a difficult time surving but surving they will together with Zuku. The internet market is very big and all that is needed is for one to identify their niche and excel on it.
Do it today! Tomorrow is promise to no-one.

...well... looking on the bright side... the cheaper the stock..the bigger the chunks of it you buy..continue this way over time...someday you'll own the freeking thing and pull a meralli by selling it all to Zain Pray >.the stuff dreams are made of.

by the way..anyone out there like me who gets exited whenever the market loses points? i'm not crazy i'm sure.

Good News=Bad News?
Don't you just love it when people panic?
They sell off their stock like hot cake, only for astute investors to pick them up. There was no new information to lead to the selling of AK shares.
It closed at 19.70, just about where it was before the. I wonder how those who sold feel.
Jaguar, Proverb don't be surprised to see a thread next week where someone (who sold AK at a loss this past week) claims that there are people "manipulating the AK price".
Seriously!

then people must start shopping big time now... if i were interested in AK i would be buying like crazy at these low levels becuase i highly doubt this low price is sustainable especially if they reveal good Q1 or H1 results...

My personal opinion is that AK's days are numbered as an independent firm... Either it will be bought out or it will fade into oblivion over a few years...

I also feel that unless AK changes its strategy, it might find it very hard to sustain its position leave alone growth. I won't simply buy because the price has come down.
Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

copy this on your browser http://www.wazua.co.ke/f....aspx?g=posts&t=708 i still maintain the firm is run by venture capitalists, fattening it for slaughter. BTW, that director who led some co to be listed on NASDAQ, is he still around?

Ever since I read their IPO prospectus when it came out in '07 and saw that they basically had no major plan to get big on Fiber (they actually kind of dismissed it then) and did not even consider the then growing threat of 3G safaricom(safcom bought its license around the same time and I thought it was foolish not to even mention it), I always knew that I would flip those IPO shares as soon as I could. Unless they change their strategy, I see profits stagnating.

The partnership signed between Access Kenya & Barclays bank dubbed SmartAccess aimed at improving IT usage among 3000 SME's who are Barclays customers may be just what Access Kenya needs to go back to where it belongs in the IT sector.

http://www.capitalfm.co....r-Kenyan-SMEs-4164.html

This tells me one thing, Access Kenya is still a *top dog* in the IT sector. The only problem is that the dominant player according to CCK has disorganized its midfield and caused a disconnect so they are not scoring any goals.
