I think @alphs point is quite clear.

I am in agreement.

Balance requires complimentary cooperation not 'equality'.

Evidence of this is everywhere in nature.

Which nature are you talking about? Nature isn't even homogeneous!

Then there's no evidence of 'complimentarity but no equality'.

really?
Which Nature? Black widows eat their mates, Leopards, cheetahs are solitary animals after mating kila mtu anajipanga. Male lions just laze around and eat and fight occasionally. There is no "male" role that I know of in herbivores. Bonobos use girl-on-girl "action" to lock out males... I pray to know... which complimentary cooperation is this that we are looking for in nature?

Male and female role play manifests differently in all species.

These differences bring about balance and harmony in the overall system even when role play manifests in one eating the other.

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly you see "balance and harmony" i see pareidolia! I am sure that there are multitude of species that executed what they felt was primal only to kill finish each other. Nature is work in progress it's not "final". My take i.e. my opinion. it's what the two of you decide works for you - after all it's your marriage....in a very realpolitik outlook... WHATEVER SUCCESSFUL IS GOOD!
