1. The ruling on the legal petition was not delivered on Wednesday last week as the presiding judge was away. It will now be mentioned on Tuesday, 13th Sept.
2. The residents and community had a meeting with representatives of Kenya Railways this past Wednesday. The community was very vocal with their views: "You are cheating about the SGR route. The park is not negotiable and that is the position of the community." More here:

3. The Conservation Alliance has been working on seeking professional inputs on the routings proposed. This will help us build a technical case against the railway going through the park.
4. KUAPO has started documenting oral history of the communities living south of the park and why it is important to them. KUAPO will also print copies of an InfoGraph in English and Kiswahili to assist with civic education.
5. A joint protest march is being planned for early October. An exact date and how you can participate will be communicated in due course.

A. PHOTO CAMPAIGN 1; Our park is in danger and we need your help! Its as simple as this:
1. Get an A4 paper and write down your favourite wildlife animal from the national park with the hastage at the bottom

2. Take a selfie or a picture with you holding the paper
3. Post it on instagram, facebook, twitter or on all and caption it with the hastages and your own personal message of saving the park 4.Nominate 3 people to do the same
B. The great migration to the park
Save your park visit it now! The save the Nairobi national park campaign has started 'THE GREAT MIGRATION TO THE PARK' in hope that people who may not able to come for the walks, or forums or social media, can go and visit the park and show that they want to save the park, through supporting the park. So people go visit the park, take pictures of their drive and post it on the Save Nairobi National Park Campaign event page with the message, SAVE YOUR PARK, VISIT IT NOW #SAVENNP #TheGreatMigration. For FONNAP this shouldn't be too hard for us, You can also nominate others to join the great migration. We also suggesting for a physical day that the great migration happens is Sunday 18th September where we can mobilise the NAIROBIANS to join in the great migration.

We want to flood the event page, and social media with memories we have of the park. So posting old pictures of our drives in the park, BBQs and experiences on twiitter, facebook, the event page, IG etc. with the hashtag #TBNNP SAVENNP and the caption of our memory and; 'We Want more memories with our NNP;. You can also nominate others to share their memories.
