Two Chinese nationals arrested last week for hawking phones at Industrial area in Nakuru town have been fined Sh200,000 or one year imprisonment in default  by a Nakuru court.

What do you mean by 'mwafrika hana rafiki'? You'll soon be served by a Chinese shoe shine.

I found these Chinese hawking the same phones in Egypt. I lived in Alexandria for a while and I always found the Chinese on the streets hawking phones. They would sit on the streets and place the phones on a rug on the floor. They did not speak English or Arabic but they were selling their products using gestures and numbers as their means of communication. I was seriously impressed!!!

We should not victimize the chinese for earning an honest living. If you travel to western/foreign countries, you will find Africans doing all manner of petty businesses and odd jobs. Does this mean that Africans have exclusive rights to engage in those lowly professions in foreign lands but when foreigners do the same here, they are arrested? Tuheshimiane.
