straws? Na sioni soda hapo.

its an idiom...meaning

to depend on something that is useless
to make a futile attempt at something
trying to find some way to succeed when nothing you choose is likely to work
trying to find reasons to feel hopeful about a bad situation

What became of Uhuru car this KVA were assembling them days?

Ask GMEA; the own the Isuzu brand.

KVA just does contract manufacturing. They don't own the brands.

Locally assembled cars have NEVER been cheap.

Zina wenyewe.... govt departments....no wonder VW bosses went to Statehouse to announce this....

BTW: GMEA assembles 70,000 units per year... 20 every day.

Uhuru is in bed with VW. As minister of Finance, he decreed GOK departments to sell Mercs and Prados and buy Passats

Why cant the VW introduce the 'contract' mode of payment like happens in many developed countries.Pay 20K every month and after two years trade in and get your new car.

Too risky here. Some banks are writing off Asset financing loans due to cheating.

At that time, "they" said he was in bed with CMC. VW has since moved to DT Dobie and now you claim he's in bed with VW. Rumours are dangerous!

There was a ban on full-built imports those days. It protected the 3 assemblers - GMEA, KVM [then known as LEYLAND] & AVA in mombasa.

When the market was opened, only GMEA is making money, thanks to their focus on commercial vehicles.

They are in the same bed whether the bed is CMC or DT Dobie.
