wewe @masukuma, have you been face to face with an owl, the other day one perched near where I hustle, being the first time I have come across one that close and since the guys around were telling me that ikika hapo someone will die, I decided to chase it away,

as i tried to 'shuuu' it away, wacha that thing turned around and looked at me, it sent shivers down my spine, then it started like nkt'ing me, those nigerian movie sounds, mimi nika retreat, that thing has badass eyes

Now that the owl decided kukaa hapo, so what gonna happen to you or one of your hustlemate?
Pray Pray Pray Pray

I just hope he has written a will. Otherwise mambo ni byad.

He should have deposited tat WILL with the lawyer like yesterday!

The fact that he tried to "shuuu" the Owl and pelted it with some stones but the Owl still stood its ground and even "Nkted" him makes him the ONLY choice to be taken to makueni.

Pray Pray Pray Pray Pray Pray

By the way us we're told that if we see an Owl we should not shout and instead should keep quiet and assume you havent seen it and pray that it goes away soonest.

you guys are freaking me out, what should I do now, but I swear I did not throw stones at it, after it ntk'ed me I left it alone and then it flew and perched itself on some electricity lines and then into the night, all my hustle-mates are ok so far, but something funny happened after that, one of them slipped dropped a phone it slid on the road and a matatu crashed it.

Yes - just east of the philippines... High pressure areas.... creatures that live at the very bottom are so adapted to having 11kms of water pressing on their bodies. Kawaida Sub marines cannot withstand the pressure . heck even light does not go that low and even corpses of dead fish don't fall that low.... it's crazy!! so imagine if your ship sank there? There is this movie "Life of Pi" that had such a scene. My hinterland african brain couldn't conceptualize floating on 11kms of water and not only that to see your ship sinking into the 11km abyss that is the Mariana Trench.

I watched the documentary; cant remember the title' but it was good, in a eerie sort of way and quite informative. I watched it at night and i had nightmares afterwards.

For me the sheer water pressure at 11km is what is intriguing..

Those creatures in the marianas do not have air in their bodies unlike us humans - so ur lungs push out pressure when you enter water but as the depth levels rise the external water pressure becomes too much and your lungs would just...collapse, bleeding as nitrogen levels rise in your blood to dangerous levels.
In fact pple who were trapped and died in submarines that malfunctioned and crashed to the bottom of the sea, never even bothered to get out and swim to the top thousands of feet above them coz the minute they would have opened the escape hatch of their subs they would have been crushed just like egg shells...and so they awaited rescue or death, whicever would come earlier, as carbon dioxide levels rose to acidic proportions with each of their breath consuming vital but very scarce oxygen...most likely fate that befell some sailors on the Russian sub KURSK 16 years ago....

But for these creatures without air in their bodies, the pressure problem is in this way therefore solved. So I imagine these must be really giant crab and octopuses in the marianas if they are of the negligible senescent species...

Over 75% of the ocean depths are unexplored, meaning so many sea species we dont even begin to imagine exist, scary yet exciting...tafakari hayo

Did the species adapt to the pressure?
