I have always know about "Biologically Immortal" organisms i.e. creatures that don't age - they just grow and live until they are killed by something (predators, disease) else or stave to death. But apparently there are a number of "Biologically Immortal" vertebrates and apparently crocodiles are one of the few biologically Immortal vertebrates that walk the planet - they die when they starve, get sick or are killed by something else. There is no difference between a 7 year old crocodile and a 100 year crocodile when it comes to agility and speed - just that one is bigger than the other. Theoretically, with an infinite food supply and no disease in captivity - Crocs will become bigger and bigger until one of those conditions of it's death is met - the phenomenon is known as 'Negligible senescence'
In 1957, A hunter shot this crocodile in Australia – It was an 8.1 m (28 feet) long crocodile!
