I expect a good performance from Kenya Re from 1H 2016 despite the tough economy. My only significant "GoK" holding. One I watch very closely especially the Management. So far, so good.

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Unlike @Obiero, I don't have "Inside Info" on the results. I use guesstimates based on what I read about KenRe, the NSE, interest rates, historical performance and indicators, etc.

I am waiting for the results... They will probably be released this week.

I saw that 21.50 and wondered whether it was an error. It's normally a laggard left behind by KK

35.75 so I can sell before the Big Seller comes in! Laughing out loudly

Great balance sheet. I worry about the land they own. Or think they own. The good news is that over the past 4 years since I started looking at Kenya Re seriously the value of the land (excluding Kenya Re office buildings) holdings have reduced considerably as a % of the total portfolio.

I think Kenya Re should provide (like KK for KPRL) for all the land acquired from politicians or under contention. Of course, when the matter is settled, Kenya Re can write back what they can unequivocally say is their property.
