Im thinking of selling my 50k shares on Equity assuming that if i buy a plot on either Thika road or Ruiru at Muigai inn, Kahawa west or Kahawa Sukari... My calculation is i can get a more and a quicker return on my money than in stocks...I have been thinking to try and reduce my shares towards that direction of real estate.[b]Any opinions? before i take this quick decision?Lets discuss may be more money on plots.........

Could you? Yes! You could do whatever you want to do with your shares.
Should you? Now that's an entirely different question.

We had a similar thread about a month ago basically comparing stocks and land along thika Rd. If you browse there was alot of insight into this.

My stand is still the same. "STOCKS". Why? - we are in a bull market and the probability of Equity hitting 70% - 100% return is very very likely.

All the same it is still your decision.
Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

Why don't you just take all your money from the stocks and go to a casino? What you are doing is classic speculation, Stocks and real estate are worlds apart, people may tell you this and that about land and stocks but to be honest with you, we will not all get rich at the same time, so if everyone is quoting good gains for land, then wait to get rich with everyone who has a plot, buy one and see. Stocks investment and not stock speculation offers the most realistic avenue for growing and maintaining wealth for the "kawaida" person. I have got to say as much as i pity speculators, i cannot make money in stocks without them as they often give stocks a surge in price so that i ask myself "why am i holding on to such a high priced stock" say like you bought equity at 300/-, then you sell back to me at 19/- and i say, why not? and off you go to buy your plot, good luck!

I would not offload Equity. They are clearly in the planning / early execution phase of their 2nd expansion blitz. Instead of getting off the bus, you should be fastening your seatbelt for the ride!

Sell when there is a bull run?I dont think so.
It's easy for investors to get emotional and prejudiced when trading, but computers don't

Much Know - Ati aende casino? HaHaHa! No one could have put in better.
wanyina, relax. Wachana na mambo ya Thika. Equity itapaa juu angani kama ndege ya Kenya Airways.
I must say that Equity are a very forward thing bank. They want to conquer not just Eastern Africa, but the whole of it. Be patient. Ikishuka mpaka 17 tena usiuze. Relax. In 2 years when they hit 10 billion in profits its price will be at 60.
If they manage to acquire HF, its GAME OVER! for other banks.
GOD BLESS YOUR LIFE
