@Mukiha,

That is a good strategy men. I have been doing the same in purchasing BOC and Stanbic Uganda.

I should use similar strategy to accumulate EABL and ARM.

Good luck

My guess was right, it touched 50bob today but eased back to 47.50 [up 1.75 on yesterday's close]

Some one please puncture the tyres....until my orders go through!!!

PROVERB,the acquisition of CFC by Stanbic may not be jinxed as other southafrican debuts ....This is because Stanbic has been in the country for a while and I believe the has experienced the kenyan organizational cultures unlike other failed entries such as Castle , RVR etc...
So my fair value for CFC is about 70/= with a premium of 10/ so 80/=

My pesa nane opinion....

Not quite; I was praying that it stops rising and waits for my order to go through before crossing the sh50 barrier. It crossed today and my order hasn't been executed yet!

Oh well; you can't win both ways. I'll still buy as long as it remains below my average buy price for the shares i already have [69].

52 will be today's resistance point. Works for me since I could not bring myself to accept buying at anything hire... That's why I was sad and happy at the same time yesterday.

My order has gone through at 52, bringing my average to 67. Still quite high but I will pick some other profits from EQTY and pour here as well.

CFC is the only red spot on my portfolio. I'm down 24% while everything else is up over 25%....

@Mukiha

Do you ever sell at a loss?
The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.

Yes; when I lose faith in a counter. Like I did with OCH in Jun 2009 - sold at 43% loss after holding it for only one year! It touched my selling price this week.

Of course I could have picked some when it touched 6 bob in Dec, but, hey, I have lost faith in it.

So you wonder why I had bought it the first place: I was very impressed by its SA acquisations. We all know how that went, don't we?

@mukiha - I saw you commented on Olympia in a different post... Let's see if they do any better in 2010...

@mukiha, funny OCH and everready are the only stocks i sold at a loss. I have no regrets, everready for crap fundamentals and OCH for dodgy management and lack of strategy.

According to the AGM announcement in today's press; C Njonjo, du Tiot and Naikuni are retiring from the board of directors and they are not offering themselves for re-election.

Something to ponder
