Honestly; I've never had my eye on this counter; it has climbed 45% this year so far. I'd say it is gone!

cnn I've also been burnt by Accs as well (and many others!) but I take the view that money is like blood - all the same colour. If a counter has the potential to make me money, I buy.

That's quite bold!

I'd think twice about putting money into BAT, for example.....

@mukiha -would you be kind enough to explain the bit on BAT? Is it the reluctance to split? Thanks

@you..longname. My view is Access will find it very difficult growing in data.I sold it at a 30% loss last year and put the money in CMC @9.80,put fresh money for an average of 11 for the counter.Today i am 24% UP.Access has gone even further south.So i am already laughing as you wait for next year.For me if i dont see growth i will cut my losses without batting an eyelid.The market is full of opportunities elsewhere.

@cnn take a long deep look inside yourself and ask, do i want to make money in stocks? If the answer is yes, do some basic reading, suggestions are many on wazua but i cannot over-emphasize the 'intelligent investor'. Otherwise your attitude will get you losing money like water through a sponge... Pun intended, but i do not see why you would not touch centum.

@cnn.

I absolutely concur with you. I will never touch Access K. Was in the IPO and jumped out when the stock reached 24.

I would like to know why some Directors recently resigned from the company.

This accessK market has been hit very hard by two factors;
1. The entry of Safaricom into the data market. AcessK simply has no muscle to fight with the giant Safcom is. It was all good when Safcom was only after individual customers. Acessk could concentrate on corporates. But when Safcom enetered with Safcom Business, then Acessk goose was cooked. Remember there are other reputable competitors like KD, Zuku as well.

2. Buying the OpeNview business. Besides being grossly overpriced, that must go on record as one of the dumbest investment decisions of the last two years. That together with centum's entry into RVR.....

Personally, and fm a layman's point of view, I think AK has been screwed fair n square by safcom. Imagine all those internet enabled fones out there (cybercafes slowly dying, home internet suppressed somewhat), all those modems whose portability make them usable anywhere, making them immensely popular, safcom foray into the corporate world in data provision....AK simply cant grow much, if at all!

Access better sell themselves soon coz safcom is offering UNLIMITED data to small firms for $200... Can AK compete?

@cnn relax no dis-respect to your investment skills mean't. Just that IMHO centum is undervalued.
