Break below that critical support level opens up a nasty air-pocket to crazy lows last seen between 2000 - 2002 period. These are the crazy lows we are waiting for

Their profit growth is slow despite the huge borrowing to fund infrastructure modernization for improved efficiency. If only GoK could allow them to increase tariffs . http://kenyantrader254.s...sector-the-power-players

They increased just recently and they hoarded the cash, no divided increase. Since I pay for power i lose more than i gain from a tariff increase. That dividend will always stay stagnant.

This is very depressing to the shareholder value.Kenya power is a crippled business entity whose major shareholder,Gok,is using it for propaganda. The business aspect of this company is virtually dead as it lacks robustness.Other shareholdersin this company get little in terms of value. As things stand,i will avoid this counter for now. Towards the goal of financial freedom

The investor wants to see increase in share value, whether its achieved through increased revenues or lower costs. When kplc requests GoK to allow them raise tariffs, it means they have been unsuccessful at improving efficiency.

I agree those two items are the problem and they are finding it difficult to contain. Meanwhile debts are piling and revenue growth slow. The market will not be kind to this firm. Funding projects using debt vs higher tariffs? Which creates more value for shareholder? Remember when Mpesa bank decided to raise call charges against all odds.
