KQ needs to go into "restructuring" [US-style Chapter 11] that allows it to renegotiate all its contracts, loans and (employee) agreements. Kenya needs KQ but a 'fit' KQ not the current bloated one full of debt.

Nope. Without an efficient fuel procurement then all the initiatives to turnaround the Company will be worth nothing. Fuel is the single biggest expense for an airline. Part of the reason why KQ was not able to operate bigger aircrafts is fuel purchased at exorbitant prices.

@Obiero - Folks follow and believe what you say. I am but a Wazuan with nary the analytical powers you have.

My "positive" pick has only made me 25% in 2 years. Surely, who would act on my analysis of KQ? Not the billionaires like Kirubi and friends. Not KLM. Not GoK. You, on the other hand, have an impeccable sense of timing and analytical skill bar none.
