For those of you speculating on Tinga stuff.......kindly pay a visit to the area before you are made to start speculations. Its a no mans land, to say the least. I have pictures but uploading pictures here requires a degree!!!

Visited the place. Not bad-looking. The town is obviously growing. Saw the independent station there too. I don't think it will take 100 years as someone with a crystal ball said. Even Kiserian now has a new Shell petrol station. The growth of the general area in 2 years is remarkable.

Dear Kenyans , let me ask, what is the value addition in holding land ?

Is the value creation the population growth or what ?.

The economy can’t grow because of speculation and that why I am interested to know.

That's what I call "streetwise" idea/thought!!

Very true. I know a group that bought land there at Kshs 120k/acre and two years later, the members are now disposing portions at 400k/acre.

@Swenani.... i get what you are asking however most "land speculators" buy land in areas they reckon could double their money in a year or whatever. I dont think it has to do with "economic growth" per se more to do with personal gain. However, we should definately stop doing things like politicians and start thinking what we can do to improve Kenya's economy and how people perceive Kenya (aparently we are regarded as abrasive then again this is a whole different topic)
