What Hails gava firms. 3 bob and below club. Mumias, kq, Uchumi. KPLC despite all profits at 10.00. NBK one in same share price range with NIC now at 10. Eapc one at 100's now well below 50. Ken gen once 15 and above now 8 bob ( before right) It's sad and the writing is on the wall. I think this new regime is to blame for the most part. It might be easy to fool wanjiku but institutionals and big money will always know the truth

why wasn't this question asked when KQ traded at 126.. factoring the rights issue, KQ should not trade sub 24

ANSWER.....
Guys were NOT so enlightened then. Then everybody jumped to rights as buying opportunity not minding the price.

Besides CDSC was not in existence it was paper certificate so extremely DIFFICULT to buy in the market. The market was not as liquid as now.
Things have changed.

Meanwhile Kengen today prints 6.55, lowest in recent time and of course the rights price.

Not the lowest in RECENT times. It touched 5-5.50 just before they announced rights.

In today's Standard:

Kengen Board Chairman: Kengen will need Sh 1 trillion to add 2,500MW to the national grid.

And we thought Sh 28 bn was a lot.

Actually did really well, given market conditions. Hit 92% of their target, which is insanely successful.
