I want to import this BMW http://www.sbtjapan.com/used-cars/stockid=750916 but very confused with how to calculate the taxes as I keep getting different figures. The FOB price is US$17,750.

Someone please assist with calculating the final cost with the new KRA taxes.

Also you can download the CRSP list and the Valuation template from the KRA website. You feed in your figures, It will compute the taxes.

Agency fee ni nini tena? Almost 3 million plus servicing costs is almost making me change my mind.

The cost of engaging an agent to clear the car for you with KRA etc

No one is forcing you to buy it!

looks very cheap over at sa, but that looks like the price for the domestic market, do they have any extra charges if the same unit is for export.
on the driving it here, not an expert but I am thinking it would be hard to drive an un-registered car out of sa, through all those countries to kenya, and I think a car carrier from sa to kenya would be too expensive, I could be wrong though.

Oh don't worry, I can afford it many times over. My mind is refusing to let go of my poverty-stricken past. It's more of fear that of the unknown.
