It is definitely criminal to compare the two!!! @maichblack are you aware that banks also have negative equity. KQ is sick but not dying.. All banks with (potential) Negative Equity are under KDIC or closed. Recently those include Dubai, Chase and Imperial. Greedy when others are fearful. NBK though it's not in a bad situation like KQ. Actually KQ can't be a benchmark coz it's at the bottom of the pit. Nbm is not on negative equity http://nationalbank.co.k...s-at-31-March-2016-2.pdf

"Employees involved in the purchase of fuel, which makes up 40 per cent of the airline’s direct costs, preferred the most expensive pricing formula available." linkEven my grandmother can tell me this is wrong what management did. Nguze knew this and he didn't do anything to change it. Yeye si mweupe kama pamba @enyands, Ngunze should not be still holding that position. Even the godfathers who are protecting him should be worried by the revelations in the forensic report. Good work by the Standard, Editorial is here, http://www.standardmedia.../?articleID=2000203955.

Almost three times the market price (at one point)?? Yet fuel accounts for their biggest expense!? 40%!! Paying the highest prices for fuel in Nairobi than ALL the other airlines and it is their hub, they buy in bulk etc. etc. Bloody matafakas!!!! Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

@Obiero - Please come clean. Roho safi. 1) Do/Did you get any free/discounted flights on KQ? 2) Do/Did you get any free/discounted upgrades on flights on KQ/Skyteam? 3) Do/Did you get any remuneration [cash/perks/freebies] on KQ? 4) Do you get any remuneration from a PR agency? Just asking. Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett
