Ethiopian Airlines: how are the flights?

So have found cheap cheap cheapo tickets to north america in July on Ethiopian. How are the flights? Any experiences?

Web reviews are terrible.

I have used the airline about half a dozen times. Especially for the long haul flights to Toronto. I love the layover in Addis. Some can go upto 19hrs. They put you up in one of the hotels I in Addis. Good thing, Kenyans get into country visa free. So upon checking into the hotel one can roam around city sampling massage parlours before beginning the second leg of the journey. Once in a while they''d land in Rome for fuel and/ or crew change. No one else leaves the tarmac. I love the airline coz their ticket prices are unbeatable and their late night flights to Nairobi are rarely full so more liquor if you talk well to the hostesses. Long haul flights are Like Machakos station buses to Western Kenya. If you have met Ethiopians huko kiashland you can connect the dots. Luggage is a serious issue, both check in and carry on, especially flights back to Africa. They are also on Addis Msa route and are dirty cheap. All in all, I love them.

You must have used them awhile back, I thought they use the recorded safety voice over in english, with the pretty girls giving the demo's.

I think its an ok flight. One time they were overbooked out of Addis, to accomodate the endless AU windbags flying in and out of the city. we jumped the queue rudely and got our seats, some polite (non - kenyans) missed.
