Visited the show n saw it .the cow is quite huge and produces just likd a pedigree holstein.adv is as they say in the food.quite adaptable to all climate(the cros breed) and can calf 14 times.once done wit milk production,it can be fattened for beef-over 400kg live weight.problem is late maturity.ai ranges from 4k -1600

Got to chat with the South African farmer for about an hour. Its a good breed. I seriously worry about insuring it however. I don't know of any neighbour of mine who would not try and take it for a tour of his home. lol

I loved the goats more and the Jerseys. Learned a lot from those farmers and ordered a few goats and doppers.

For those who haven't gone there and were talking about going into farming,what are you waiting for? You will get better advice from the farmer than at sk.
By the way,10k litres is in optimal conditions and depends on the sire and the purpose of your farming.

@ njunge. jamhuri park yesterday.i took even a video and a few photos.its just a wonder animal for kenya.but when the cow is on heat its so violent u ve to fix it immediately or else it will hurt itself.but the rest very nice its a beauty.
