Right? might is right!! humans live here for one reason and one reason only 'because we can!'. The lions actually live in the game park out of the goodwill of humans.

Why kill? Why not tranquilize it and then translocate it to maasai mara?

It is the SGR construction works inside the park.

Sad. Total incompetence by KWS. Does KWS have scientists, vets etc to advice on such issues? Whoever shot the beast should be fired and jailed.

Absolutely nothing to do with SGR. Wildlife used to migrate between Nairobi National park, Kapiti Plains and Amboseli national park. Then humans settled on the migration corridor - Kitengela, Isinya etc. Also during the dry season like we are experiencing currently, animals move longer distances to find prey and forage.

This is the most stupid explanation by a conservation body. The CEO should resign like yesterday.

Kwani hawananga anastacia? They should have used anastacia to immobilize the animal then take it safely to the wild/park.

Nonsense...try to get the context of the whol estory.
These rangers were scrambled specifically to come and contain the situation...these were not FREE roaming rangers that you know.
The guy who sent them to the field should have equiped them better, with anastacia etal...

anyway I dont know the whole story but in any case on attack mode a tranquilizer would not be appropriate it takes time to take effect you need to shoot to kill in such a situation
Some you win some you lose
