I have learnt through the hard way that government owned firms are there to exploit Wanjiko as a naive investor. They don't care whether you are burnt beyond recognition. I have to revise my ways of investing. Obsession and sentiment I rebuke you in Jesus name. Amen. John 5:17 But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.”

http://www.mumias-sugar....hp?page=Future-Products[/quote] Mumias is a broke-ass firm that is begging GoK for bailout cash. How do you expect it to buy its competitors? Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

They can offer the competitors shares, preference or other. They can even offer land etc.
The aim here would be go out and buy a factory whose equipment is modern and thus more efficient than the run down MSC equipment.

The aim here would be go out and buy a factory whose equipment is modern and thus more efficient than the run down MSC equipment. 1) The only factories with modern machinery are the private millers who apparently are profitable. They should take over Mumias not the other way round. 2) Mumias wants the land for nucleus estates so why give away land to get land? 3) Who wants Mumias shares [except GoK]? I don't want to regret @1 kes when things are out of control. Now I know which stock makes money and when to join and exit time as well. I've been on this ship for far too long to bail out now, for me until 2017 Feb or March, then I shall know. Till then I'll buy with whatever is available. “You can get in way more trouble with a good idea than a bad idea, because you forget that the good idea has limits.” - Ben Graham
