The only solution is to create 8 billion shares of one shilling each and give them to the bond holders in which case all current shareholders end up with nothing.

I smell a bailout in the works. Using Jaidi's propaganda and the whole crap that it is a pioneer home grown company, they will send a team to GOK and secure a soft loan or a guarantee for that matter. #ThiIsKenya Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

Uhuru Gov to bail out a Kibaki men private firm? Life is short. Live passionately.

When one looks at the ROI on these firms... it doesn't even break-even at T-Bill rates let alone what's paid on long-term bonds. Basically, the taxpayer is subsidizing these firms! The best bailout GoK can offer you are the construction deals so that you can straighten your cashflows as you deliver the project. But sasa kama Civicon(the construction subsidiary they bought)cannot help because majority of the projects were in the oil based region in Kenya(read Turkana) how else do you expect the gava to saidia. African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'

Deadline approaches.. T - 17 days. March 25th lights out! Globally a euro event looms. If that strikes plus TCL default those shocks will rock NSE! $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

In our motherland Kenya, it has to be too politically connected to fail. In both cases, the man on the street is saddled with the tab

We expect a default so no surprise. 2. The bondholders are not local [or so I think]. 3. The bond is listed in Mauritius. 4. TCL's market cap is only 1.6bn which is what I think Safaricom makes in a month! Or what KCB/Equity make in 2 months. The market cap is smaller than Unga or Williamson. Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett
