Tips on house finishes

Hello Wazua guys.

I must admit that I have benefited a lot from the discussion on the cost of construction thread. I am in the process of constructing a house and would appreciate the contribution of guys on tips for saving on finishes. Am just about to do the roofing.

Take a walk down to kijabe street, there are some hardware shops that sell different types of finishes, at prices fairer than akina tile and carpets along mombasa road. I dont know if the muhindi who used to be there back in the day still is, he used to sell saj ceramics tiles at fair prices and got them direct from the factory if the order was large. But first tembea kidogo, look at the different finishes available out there and compare prices, then you can decide on how much in finishes your pocket can afford

Thanks for the response. might you recall the name of the Asian's shop. what were you're approximate costs for the finishes?
