My eye is actually on EQTY. None of those that have been 'over-analysed', as those buses are already moving

Safcom in 3 months? Hehehehe! Maybe to 5.20 or 5.75.

I would say the new sprinters are likely to b Mumias, KCB, OCHL, Centum.

Bamburi presents an opportunity that shouldnt be ignored.
The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.

actually stocks to watch depend on your valuation criteria... what you use a a base value indicator.. Every body quotes a low p/e is the way to go... on the contrary..the reason low p/e works is because the whole investing community has agreed on "low P/E" as a standard... but i do not think it is.. coz earnings can and often are manipulated..thanx to non cash items..

I'm relying more on PSR... Price-to-sales ratio of less than one...
PSR= Maket Cap as of today/Revenues 2009

how much we are paying for kshs1 worth of revenuses... The Lower the better..preferably under 1bob.
at 85 bob kakuzi is a better bargain compared to R.Vipingo at 20....

even so..depends largely on how much you got...
use of low p/e....nah!!!!

@ProverB i agree... p/e is the last resort my best choice for valuation is price/book value...
this is the best metric and is used by companies in exchanges where share buy backs are allowed...

Price to Sales can be used to compare firms withing SIMILAR sectors at best...

U can't use it for comparing banks to agricultural firms...

@Guru267 where are the banks? I would advise the not-so-experienced investors to stock up on BBK.

Surely you also look at gap between current price and peak/trough price? Otherwiese you'll be buying a stock at just as its about to peak...
