1) Why are all the SS translation losses of 6.1bn going below the line? [Permanent impairment]
2) SS showed a profit for 1Q 2Q 3Q. Have these profits [which were really profits with the devaluation] been reversed in 4Q?

SSP the SS currency was heavily devalued(from 3.06 to +18 to the USD) in Q4,.. translation of the SS balance sheet would explain said impairment

I expected Sunil to have been more aware of that, business in SS will be tricky till those 2 leaders are dethroned

How do people arrive at this 84% devaluation figure? I thought the currency moved from 3.16 to 18 therefore the devaluation being >400%

Anyway, from Q4, the currency has lost value by 122% to the dollar. Business there will be very tricky and I expect major reorganisations in order to survive.

The question @Sang252 posed, if you tried to understand it wasn't about the impairment but its accounting treatment.

@vvs is an activist which explains his lack of business acumen, thinks he can preach his holdings to success. We understand that KK needs/lacks a USD stream, Jet A1. Holla.

Or, @vvs is the type of senior that has informed the CIO with data sets that LHR is better sold to tourists. That came out clear, business doesn't sustain that route.

Furthermore, this is the wrong thread to perpetuate what has become fashionable. Contravention of natural justice, now one is guilty until proven innocent. Is it that those @vvs vehemently pursues can't afford gag orders or they have nothing to hide? @Maka would tell us but you know, he shouldn't.

If he applied for this JOB he'd fail miserably.

That sang fella hasn't been handed a pink slip yet? The very bank he works for has substantial exposure to SS. Oh, he is in IB. The more reason!

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly I share my observations. The rest is up to you. KQ vs KK. We know where the chips have fallen since 2012 when both made their first significant loss.

Request: Can someone please post a myStocks graph from Jan 2012 that compares KQ to KK? I have KK +9% (excludes dividends) vs KQ -78% (excludes dividends)
