Hey guyz, any opinion on the market reactions assuming the ICC gives a green light for Ocampo to start his investigations? What if he releases the contents of the Wako list?

@Bodo IMHO if he releases the contents and anyone at the top is implicated then the market will go down for sure because investors will be very uncertain about the following turn of events and extreme uncertainty always causes a sell off in markets as investors wouldnt want to be caught with their pants down....

though it will just be a knee jerk reaction

Come to think of it.

Any influential shots implicated will began to rant all over - this is bound to be inimical to business - by extention NSE.

May be so, may be otherwise, but its a very pertinent question.

It'd be good if we had this nonsense out of the way now rather than 2012.
I really hope he gets the greenlight to put away, UK, ruto (both) and the accomplices.

@kingauwi, I agree with u...but to some extent I've a feeling the mkt is resilient enough to weather the aftershocks although there'll lots of ranting by the big shots...

Nation had made a misstep. They've corrected the error. Ocampo has been let loose.

What are you guys talking about? This would be great for Kenya. It will mark the beginning of the end to impunity. Better than a new constitution since no matter how good the constitution is it can't stamp out our biggest problem which is impunity. Forget the market because it only caters for the minority.

BBI will solve it

This will be the first time big fish in Kenya are facing charges. Upon conviction they will be international criminals. CRIME does not PAY.
