Guys, there was a Safcom pamphlet in today's nation Safaricom are offering up-to 80% discounts on a wide range of mobiles including Blackberries.

The N96 whcih supports tv was priced at abt 20k, from about 46k, while the Blackberry Curve at 56k was priced at 23k. While unlikely to be so, I hope si za China...

Sure enough there was a "sale" that had only a few items - went to I&M, Moi Ave, Sarit and each outlet had a new list with about 5 phone for sale, extremely disappointing. Whatever marketing gimmick Safaringcon was upto they managed to pull the crowds like what was witnessed at woolmart/nakumatt sale. Is it possible some Sales staff facilitated some dealers to get stock even before the goods hit the shops!!?

once again Safaricom proves to us that its strongest department has to be the marketing department.. those guys need a pay rise..haki ya nani!

im informed non of the really expensive fones were actually there.. just included to drive attract us... their main concern was disposing the low-end fones... and they did...pretty well..

Did anyone buy those expensive phones at the good prices?

I think the staff sold them to dealers/family/friends/newspaper guys before we even saw it in the papers.I hope they will have enough clearance stock next time or just avoid advertising on a whole daily newspaper.....maybe they can give out randomly for credit re-loads.
