Morning at all.I am looking at shortening the GBP/USD with about 30 pips.Currently 1.57406 looking to take a TP at around 30 pips.My SL will be around 70 pips.But i will trail it a little bit to 80 pips. The UK PPI index data seems not be good and is in the offing to be released. Fear of another interest rate cut in DEC.

Hey guys!

Nice to see you all around. Havent been in a trading mood - more like a sabbatical,hope to be back in the grove.

Good one on cable @Ngaatu. Cable seems to be range bound and could do well with oscillators. If seen,I will short cable at around 1.5860-70 levels for some 40 or so pips,with 40 pips SL.

Have a nice one!

@Passyon,

Am with you on that. Probably its the Obama effect. Been out almost a week no trade. But breaks are also healthy.

Morning traders @ngaatu @passyson @toni.

I think yes there have been an impact of uncertanity in the markets when the election of president -elect Obama was announced a mixed reaction of slight confidence and the weakness of the markets were playing part together,sending intertwinning reactions

Similarly i have been looking on getting on range trading but i have been looking on manageable pips,from yesterday on monday with the Cable showing a direction at least.

The chinese stimulus package has not yet tried to tone down the market fear of reccesion though yesterday it sent the jitters but the confidence was still bearish and the markets are not yet responding well.

Morning @kilabe @passyson @toni and all traders

About the chinese stimulus package i think it only boosted the markets in Asia and across the markets yesterday as the $586 billion was being perceived to bring confidence in the region and its effects felt across the spectrum with the importance of chinese impact in exports markets and the other segments of the economy. But the confidence subsided later on during the day when it was seen much of the 586 billion(almost 1/5 of its GDP) would much concentrate on the domestic recovery,rehabilitation of quake hit areas e.t.c.And it would have been spread to 2010 that period,so there was not seen to be an immediate impact n financial markets and china package though somehow big but it could not calm down the global reccesion fears,but at least it had tried!!! The commodities are still feeling the impact of recession fears.

@passyson The obama election gave mixed reactions and there was no concrete direction.On thursday and friday did not trade because of the markets volatility but yesterday i have been trying to get my groove back slowly as the cable was showing a path,but still am also looking at range,am still trying to scalp within a range of inbetwwen my estimates of the pips i am targeting.Slowly but sure so that i can also get the wheels running for the market.

@toni @passyson we have been silent n the way forward to chart our plans on setting the arcade.

By the way i also wanted to know the extent of setting the trade arcade,i am fully supporting it to be set up ASAP,so that we could push for market sensibility and order.

I am always insisting guys not to pay obscene amount or the special figures being advertised for training or whatever sort of because nothing concrete will be gained,the best thing is to get all potential and would be investors in the forex market so that they can get the information freely and have practical knowledge with the live trading being done by most traders here.What i noticed is that most guys there out are "training" for a living so that they could survive almost all of them do not have live practical trading,and if they have they only have $500 or less and entice the would be forex "trainees" with the aspect of leverage and technicals which are always not real practical and cannot hold during the markets volatility. In the meantime I again do advice anyone outthere that you do not need to pay a dime,just be patient go to babypips and other friendly for starters and start to learn slowly and have patience.If you do not understand anything please ask here.

Sooner than later we are with other traders here setting up a live trading arcade where we will be trading and also giving information and skills freely.

Morning fellow traders

@Kilabe...welcome back

@ Toni,Ngaatu,Kilabe et al...I have not being quite as far as the trading arcade is concerned. Infact i went ahead and opened another account...mini and with only 900USD coz i realized that this figure might be what the common mwananchi might afford as far as the arcade and trading is concerned.

I want to be in their shoes so i have decided to realistically trade that account bearing in mind the many restrictions such an account might have ... therefore i cannot trade many lots as i do on the other one.

All that said and done,i am short AUD/USD @0.66873 with a T/P target set at 50pips...i am on 7 lots...let me see how this account goes and then i can be realistic when we all meet.

@kilabe,passyon,ngaatu

Will work on a business plan for the trader's arcade and send it across. Hopingly in 2 weeks time we can have a plan.

How are the trades going for you guys? Sad that my broker has really been increasing the spread of cable,current spread at 7 pips. Hope the markets cool down soon and we're back to normal spreads.

GL and GT to y'all.
