Kimetto's first stop should have been statehouse for a pat on the back by UK even if the rest of us ignored him.
Lord, thank you!

Very sad indeed. Kenyanshero-worship politicians instead. A political thread would ganner so much in such a short time, mostly with vitrol googles.
Soldiers coming from warfront, or athletes like Kimetto are always overlookedSad Sad Sad

Alai is totally correct. The political guys advertise and spread the word. They urge their followers to come to their arrivals/rallies. If we were to honour our sport Heroes our media must lead from the front. How many Kenyans knew there was a berlin Marathon on Sunday? How many Kenyans knew about the world record? How many Kenyans knew when Kimetto was due back? Do you watch how the British media floods their news with even the smallest achievement by one of their sportsmen? It starts with the media. Mijungu was highlighting their failure.

If Uhuru decides to go to Hague, watch the Machinery that TNA will unveil for his homecoming. People will respond cause they were told to.

I watched DW tv after the Germans won the world cup. People were being urged to turn up in large numbers.

Here in Kenya AK and the media were silent...

Paul Tergat is very much revered in other countries. In fact he is arguably adored more than Gabreselasie in Ethiopia.

Nope.Gabre is a true legend but he gives little to charity in a society that believes in sharing.

That was a good video. The way Kenyans obsess over politicians and defend thieves, land grabbers and corrupt politicians is insane.

Kenyans cheer these people because they are tribal chiefs. Not because they did anything special. This is a shame.

Its one thing to cheer a politician because he spent 27 years in prison to fight for human rights like Mandela did. But most Kenyan politicians have not done anything worth the crowds and adulation they get. Kenya is Insanity defined
