Dear Wazuans,

I am honored to be here. This forum is great and AS IT HELPS many Kenyans whenever they are exchange important practical solutions to their tasks.

I have a half an acre plot which I bought a few yeas ago deep in Mlolongo.

I want to build a simple but nice family residence of 4 master ensuite. It will be in the range of 220sqm.

the question is could 4 Million Ksh shillings be enough. not exclusive finishing but good standard finishing.

where i live, I see many bungalows on concrete floor and wanna use the same in Mlolongo. This system is not common in Nairobi, but many people in the building industry here (sweden) use it instead of normal roof as they find it cheaper. I do not know whether it will be the same in Kenya? please advice

4M is on the lower side for a house of that plinth. Am sure the good standard finish you mention are most likely comparative to what you have in Sweden so that should be in the range of 20-25K/Sqm. You will need to work with a professional to work on the estimates. You also need to be on ground or have someone you can trust plan work and manage fundis and materials.

Plan well and just go ahead and start!
