I am seeking a volunteer position preferably in finance, accounting, admin, grants and related (or even something that can further open my eyes)
Industry doesn't matter but hospital, youth empowerment programs, etc are preferred.
I am a professional in Finance & accounting with a bias in grants management with 9 years experience (real estate, NGO, USG contractor) in greater East Africa.
I have a 8-5 job but my 5pm-8pm is free so is my Saturday and Sunday (after church and after family lunch so basically half day Sunday).
Preferably north of Nairobi (Thika, Ruiru, Kenol, Ruaka (kiasi) Githurai, Along Garissa road

Thanks Peter. From what i can gather, this doesn't seem like a volunteer work. Sounds more like a training/classes I would prefer something that is not affiliated to a church. After training, what do the men do?

After training, what do the men do? Attending man enough sessions is the first step.It is an eye opener. It will help you to rediscover yourself. It is not your typical church sessions and infact you don't have to be christian or even a believer to attend the sessions. The only requirement is that you should be a man who wants to live a better life.I dont want want to preempt what is covered by areas such as the role of a man,man and sex,Finances, leaving legacies are covered.A major aspect covered is also how men are wounded and they carry lots of baggage from their fathers, mothers, wives brothers etc. Most of the time a man is required to show a brave face and die with his fears and weaknesses. This platform helps you to know that you are not alone. There is also massive opportunity for networking as you meet guys from all walks of life. You meet men who are in debt and do not know where to start. You can use your accounting skills to help the draw budgets and how to start paying their debts slowly. You meet people with biasharas who need loans but do not know how to prepare their financial statements. You can use your skills to help them. You meet young men who are starting their careers or relationships and you can use your skills to help them.Bottom line we don't leave any man behind and yes a man is still a man.
