A young chap i am sponsoring in college wants to compliment his studies in hospitality with part time dee-jaying classes. I know not much about but since he insists, i will pay and see what comes of it. Any ideas folks? (Livie et al saidia mzeePray )smile

you mean you are now a sponsor (while at it, i seem you remember you posting about your drink mates drinking guarana or black ice or something Laughing out loudly )? or it is another mid life crisis and a friend of mine scenario?

use that dj class cash (homeboyz are pricey) and buy him some mumias shares, it will do him much good.
you can also check with hawa gospel dj's I think mo sound should have some kind of dj structure in place.

Have you concidered getting him equipment instead. A good entry level mixer like the Numark mixtrack pro 2, which I've seen used in some clubs will set you back about 30 grand only. That plus a laptop, a pair of headphones and a pair of speakers and he can practice to his hearts content. There are many forums online for tips and how-to's.

If I were you, I'd buy the lad a set of decks & headphones, and ensure he got youtube. Let him sort himself out. If he is really passionate about it and got some instincts, all that he will need is youtube. Why pay fees, then later have to purchase the gear? When you can get him the gear, and let him learn? If cash is no issue, and if he needs the live classes, then feel free to take him to an institution. I'd prefer saving, even if cash is not an issue.
