Guys who flopped badly in our class are now tycoons. They own flats in Mathare North and big auto spare shops in Grogan area.

How did public schools in the leafy surburbs perform? Schools like lavington primary, kilimani pry, westlands primary, Nairobi pry. They look like they have facilities. Do the middle class in the hoods take their kids there?

Quote:
When The Standard visited the school that is tucked between Komarock estate and Kayole slum, voices of students and teachers singing could be heard from a distance.
The school that registered 22 students for last year’s KCPE had a mean score of 424 marks, with the lowest candidate attaining 405 marks.

So we now want to shield kids from competition as if life after school will be mteremko? The earlier you get used to survival of the fittest the earlier you adapt. Our parents competed, we competed. Education is just one aspect of competition in life. I know of many people who are now successful despite being below average academically and vice versa.

My nephew got 420 marks.

He's been selected to join Lenana. Calling on wazuan old boys like @A4architect to advise him on how to survive there. He also wants to be an architect. And play some rugby.
