Next year will even be worse. The UAP towers are been completed;no tenants have booked the space that will remain after UAP takes up the floors they require.
Couple that they have to repay the corporate bond issued last year and various borrowings both in local and foreign currencies.

Let's hope some embassy of the sort will pick up the whole floor

One floor not enough;they have 32 floors in the new building UAP Towers;they plan to occupy about 5-10 floors leaving 22 floors vacant.
Since they merged with Old Mutual it means Old Mutual building will be vacant as they combine the two operations into one with Hq at UAP Towers.
France Telecom the majority owners of Telkom Kenya are exiting.Their Hq is at Ralp Bunche building owned by UAP;whether the new owners Hellios will want the Hq to be based at Ralph Bunche or GPO-Telkom Kenya wing is still unknown.
And with the way the economy is performing under Jubilee government things are tough.

Been reading profit warnings everywhere .except few, banks and Williamson and few others .the rest has been warnings. Fail to understand the WTO upgraded kenya to a lower developed country recently yet on the ground things seem different. Hyenas have sharpened their hunting skills eating everything and anything as the warden watches. The warden fired some shots in the air recently but I don't think it's enough if there are no specific cages (courts) for hyenas and likes.otherwise warning shots are just meant to make the hyenas more smarter and skillfull.

Warning shots fired to alert (not kill) the hyenas to stay away from specific areas for now. Good PR. Why not shoot to kill the hyenas? Coz the Warden needs the hyenas to keep his job.

Exactly the warden needs the hyena especially for voting blocks and the hyena needs the warden to feed and eat. So they need each other .but we will pray for the hyena and his pack to change their ways and be content with the meat the warden gives him or else they will be sent to the wilderness .

The dj was late in spotting KQs value.. He bought very late. However, please wait a few months to realise that his move was genius. Always buy into underlying value not current stock price

I agree with you guys for the first time. Big fish have access to inside info coz of their influence. They get access to corporate reports ahead of Wanjiko. It is imperative to watch their moves very closely. You recently saw massive exit from HFCK and BRITAM something unfamiliar the market interprets to mean the worst is coming. Even before long you read profit warning announcement by Britam after monumental exit some days back. Those who hold these counters salivating for gains risk being shafted. I urge them to quit before capital erosion runs its own cause. Something suspicious is cooking. Be on a lookout!

UAP will need a miracle in the kenyan economy to be able to turn around.
When the merger with Old Mutual is complete some excess staff will have to be laid off due to duplication of roles.
OMAM will combine with UAP Asset Managers
UAP Life and Old Mutual Life will combine their operations
Old Mutual Unit Trusts with UAP Unit Trusts combine operations
Old Mutual Uganda and UAP Uganda merging their operations

The DJ didn't buy KQ because of value, he bought because he was sent to make noise about the horrible performance. He couldn't do that without being a shareholder. It's a token shareholding.
