vaa gloves basi!! watu waache tumadharau tafadhali! Watu waachane na patients wengine wakufuate? Kama alimokota kwa barabara mbona asiende the next step? This is not to absolve the medics but huyu jamaa awache fujo... the whole hospital does not stand still coz yeye ameleta mgonjwa!

The question is,Did the hospital works respond appropriately to the situation(accident victim)?

The guy's ego is a non-issue in this situation

The guys ego is a big issue, claiming you are a medic to get attention is plain stupid, but to some egotism is embedded in them, he is just thirsty for some minutes of fame, who walks in hospital phone in record mode. That's the first thing he thought when he walked in.

The medic continually tell him there is someone to help, but he keeps insisting ' this is how you work'

Just because the guy who was there to respond first did not fit his deluded description of a medic.

may the gods who were watching over the other patients strike him, and the gods of the medics whip him with stethoscopes and may his egoistical gods be rendered useless.

If the victim was attended to appropriately,I do not see why people are making noise over somebody's ego!

well the poster did not find it appropriate to tell us what kind of treatment the patient received, he thought it best to show us a clip where he is just whining at the hospital workers, while telling all he is a medic.

Then goes on to order the medic to 'fanya haraka' when he is asked to get some gloves and help out.

Is it the good samaritan's ego in question or the reluctance of the casualty wing employees... Lets wait for the investigations to be completed.

No it's not. If you put yourself in the staffs's shoes, you would understand. You don't go bullying people and expect preferential treatment.

Putting myself in the staff's shoes with the training that I have undergone I should know that when someone brings in a patient who is supposedly hurt, I should leave my paper work and attend to the emergency.

Hospitals are full of emergencies and not everything stops when one person shows up as an emergency! And it's not that he was neglected - there was someone sent out already... I think he... the "medic" was expecting all hands on deck on this one.

There was no one sent, the same man who was attending to the other patient with a bag is the one who went to the boot. Those rude women sat and continued with the paper work.

After watching the ka clip, i had my own opinion on the people + the good samaritan until i read the first two comments on youtube and now here on wazua. The medic brought in a patient, he could have left him to die on the road but he brought him and maybe saved his life.
The patient might have been another fool trying to cross the road anyhowly and at times you would say why should you care bringing him to the hospital. Then to tha lady , she was just there doing caressing her papers, surely the papers were not that important, its very common with Kenyans and actually since the mobile phones came, tabia mbaya ,you will go to any office and someone (especially ladies) will be busy on the phone while people are waiting to be served. Saw this @KRA and when you get to the counter, you might think you are asking for permission to go to heaven. They do not even want to serve you , when they do they do not even look at you , you say thankyou, nothing and it pisses me off.

Watch those seminars and will see almost 90% of the people are busy browsing
