Life in prison for killing a lion, who is that kahumbu. I pray that he gets eaten by the same lions, that his family becomes poor, that he gets to beg for food to feed his family.
Just because a mzumgu filmed the animal.

May she then go through that, how dare she speaks such ill towards maasai, they have coexisted with the lions for a very long time. Just because a white man decided to make a profit from the lions and share some with her.

Its not the lion that brought the money its the mzungu who filmed and sold the same abroad that made some money for the country.

Without the lions the film would be nothing.

The issue with the law is that for the poor you get caught with the evidence.

Even if a judge sees you steeling and you deny it effectively including destroying the evidence then you are good to go.

In other words law has not modernised to deal with digital age.

Those who are of this profession may help us by initiating reforms. Otherwise as it is now, it is becoming increasingly unsuitable and unusable and thus
a lot of those are offended by others taking opting for the law of the jungle.

It does not make sense, hata man slaughter has less stricter charges.

For those who have to co-exist with the wild animals 20m to most is a figure they can not come up with and yet when the wild animals destroys their crops or kill their domestic animals they do not get the 20m in compensation.

depends on the nature of the incident - but I hear the incidence has to be reported with 2 days to kws, and one has to show that they had put in place measures to protect themselves or property as per some set up rules in the respective areas.

But I think compensation for death can be anything less than 5m, injuries go for less than 2m - all depends on how the case is presented to the committee that handles that.

I think one can also sue the government or kws if they feel the damage is greater.
