Let's just say it has been a pleasant surprise. I wish I'd bought more.

Not good! For @VVS sake, I hope they nip this in the bud before it grows deeper roots!

@Hisah have you had a look at the Kenya Re cartoon recently?

After consolidating at 17-20 range, the 21 bob resistance is broken and the demand is crazy.

Christmas is coming early for patient Kenya Re shareholders.

Merry Christmas!

This share price should be trading at the 40-50 ranges based on its financial performance.
This will give it a P/E of about 10;safaricom is trading at a P/E of 20

I would not advice anyone to pick "GoK held" and "Gok supported" stocks on PE ratio basis only. All I can say is, "they are bit more complicated than that"

This counter will never have debt, issue a rights issue in the medium to long term.
It is extremely healthy in terms of cash reserves.

@mlennyama;
Companies which are doing well and giving returns to treasury;GOK has no plans to privatise.
It's one of the reasons they are still witholding 70% stake in KENGEN,35% in safaricom with no further plans of further privatization.
Sick and demanding cows are the ones being disposed off like sugar factories,NBK,Consolidated Bank.
Just recently we have started seeing GOK defends its stake in rights issue something which was unheard of in the last decade

Reasons why I don't trust this analysts report.
You should post to them the current price vis a vis others which were on their highs at that time.

That was said in April 2015 when Kenya Re was 18.

Not many stocks have performed better than Kenya Re. You would have needed a very strong crystal ball to pick better performing stocks.
