Okoa Kenya wants 45% to go to counties which is ok. But you cant just reduce money for national government and expect services to remain the same.

Additonal money has to come from somewhere.

I received KRA Entry document from my clearing agent yesterday at 6pm and he told me to do anything possible to pay the Tax. I had to go to JKIA NBK Branch to pay the tax. paid at around 9pm.

why do we have the ministry of devolution with a huge budget yet we have the counties? why does the ministry of health still get allocated huge sums of money yet the health is devolved? You cannot devolve functions and fail to devolve the budget,

So many fellows will be got, i missed by wisk

You are lucky, the rest of us have to pay this tax to help fund the big delegations to ICC and Paris and God knows where next.

Struggling to see if I can pay by end of the day. Been told to await for the manifest of one of the ships arriving tomorrow. They say it will be ready at 4 pm. Awaiting the C11 for the other unit. paid for 3 on saturday. Been to the loo thrice already. Long calls. I feel unwell.

How did it go? I hope you made it bro

3 went through on Sat. One on 30th at 3.45 p.m. but the last one did not go through. My clearing guy was told the manifest would be ready leo (1st). In essence my fate was sealed. But im counting myself lucky considering it could have been worse. My heart goes to those who have landed on the wrong side of the government. And they are many. Adding an average of round 120-140k per car is no joke, especially considering that guys import more towards the end of the year as the discounts tend to be better. Thanks XSK, the sun will shine. It always does. no matter how long it takes.

Was caught by this, despite my agent lining up at the bank for hours in MSA to pay.

Jubilee govt, a waste of my precious money..

I hear even those who paid yesterday may not be so lucky, its likely to be adjusted..

It has to be adjusted upwards. They need every cent.
Bunge needs to take new benchmarking foreign trips. Like the ones that were taken by the The National Assembly’s Catering and Health Club. The Committee has so far visited India, Ethiopia and the Netherlands on benchmarking tours.

Mr Midiwo said MPs are in a situation similar to boarding school students, who scramble to get to the Dining Hall early to get the top layer of soup because it has the fat and the best bits of meat.

“We cannot have 400 members eating with their visitors every day. When members are already in here deliberating, some others are there eating the top layer with their constituents. We get the residue. We must respect the rules,” said Mr Midiwo
