Am I allowed to guess that a competitor will purchase the properties and later exploit some loopholes in the buyback contract to kick uchumi out?

Thought the same. Like, what if Naivas or Tuskys buys the property, they can't let out to a competitor, au sivyo?

I think the purpose of that "Buy and Lease Back" statement is just to assure the bidders that there is a ready tenant.

Basically from Landlord to Tenant, and Tenant wants to control Landlord smile

Tuskys set to open 75 shops at Shell stations

Isnt there a conflict of interest though considering the owners of Vivo Energy also have a major stake in Uchumi and seat on both boards?

@instinct;
Which owners of Vivo energy have a stake in Uchumi.
Tuskys the shell shop at Haille Selassie Avenue next to government printer is closed and that was their flagship.

75 shops is too many

Stake and name of the vehicle that owns shares in Uchumi.
Polycarp is there as a representative of Kenya Association of Manufacturers who are major suppliers to Uchumi
