After realising that kenyan TV news is just about- Politician A said,politian B responded,Politician C said etc.... I decided to give news a wide berth and instead keep myself entertained with other DSTV channels...i have made it for a month and realised i have missed nothing at all,really!

i envy you buddy. to hit the nail on the head,our journalists are just pathetically lazy and their profession is a disgrace. they will manufacture rubbish,wrap it in silk and sell to our gullible masses as news. if moi tells peasants to plant more sukuma coz the rains are near,that 'news' to our pea brain media! what an insult to our intelligence! yes,i concede kenyans are crazy about politics,but the media should dictate what politics is progressive to the nation. i bet we could do with more financial,environmental and social items rather than shoving garbage crap down our throats. i salute k24 for their news about real issues and real people although they still have some way to go!

@kazee

I had similar frustration in 2001. Jan '02 I sold my TV and the then 'video machine'.
Started doing time reading stuff.
8 years later (today) don't have a TV. Got married,got kids... still no TV.
Folks/friends say niko mshamba... still no TV.
Travels a bit and puts up in hotel rooms with TV - nothing interesting.

I catch news on internet,newspaper and watchie in the office.

Recently a large pimple has grown on my cheek. Could it be as a result of not watching TV for 8 yrs?

i also think kenya news are full of crap but Wa P a tv is important in information and knowledge especially when kids watch the right programs. otherwise the kids are going to be a little 'behind' compared to others. you are well updated using Internet and papers do you provide the same to your wife and kids..hope so.
