Just like I said;profits are now being propped up by asset sales.
Yet the company still has negative cash flow;do I see another Uchumi in the making.
In the investing world;cashflow is a very important determinant in the stability of a company.
Some of those projects being mentioned I doubt whether the company has the necessary capital to undertake;this is a brokerage company in the making;no wonder shareholders get nothing in return


These have been my sentiments for awhile now..
Am especially afraid for their two river mall especially when it is judged against the current performance of Garden city Mall.This may turn out to be a white elephant or at the very least may not generate the necessary cashflow quickly enough.

Its consistently beating the market. I dont see what all the dividend fuss is! Also negative cashflow, isnt that very normal for an investment company on the invest/growth trajectory? Dividends are overrated, i get a checque from companies sometimes with very menial amounts-the postage even isnt worth it! What centum is doing, is reinvesting my dividends and doing it well, bought at 18bob, now share at 50+ thats tripled quite nicely.


Only concern is, 2 rivers, i passed by last week, it doesnt look like it will be up and running by Oct 2015.

Ufisadi na uhasama. Why do the centum employees pay themselves huge bonusses in cash yet the board wont issue dividends or even bonus shares. In addition this growth in asset values is determined by whom? How can the board/ employees decide the asset values then agree on bonus to be paid to themselves. Why not give the bonus in shares rather than cash. Very warped thinking that fattens the directors while lying to shareholders that growth is taking place.

In addition, if target growth per yr is 15% and it is achieved, shouldn' t they make the target 20% for next yr rather than maintain the 15%. The shareholders are being robbed blind by the employees. Negative cash flow but cash bonuses!!!

Centum is just another house of cards.Its achilles heel is Two rivers and the Coal plant.In these two it bit more than it can chew.
